Volgens het op 12 maart 2026 gepubliceerde semesterbericht van het Bundesamt f\u00fcr Verkehr (BAV) heeft het spoor opnieuw marktaandeel aan de weg verloren. Het aandeel van het spoor in het totale alpenquerende goederenvervoer daalde naar 68,6 procent, wat een afname van 1,7 procentpunten ten opzichte van het voorgaande jaar betekent. Terwijl het aantal vrachtwagens dat door de Alpen reed constant bleef op 960.000, registreerde het spoorvervoer een daling van 7,5 procent.<\/p>\n<h3>Oorzaken van de daling<\/h3>\n<p>De oorzaken van deze daling zijn divers. Een belangrijke factor is de onvoldoende kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid van het spoorweggoederenvervoer, met name langs de Europese Noord-Zuid-assen. Bouwplaatsen en spooronderbrekingen in Duitsland hebben de situatie verder verergerd. Deze infrastructurele problemen, gecombineerd met een gespannen economische omgeving, hebben ertoe geleid dat het spoorvervoer minder aantrekkelijk is voor de transportbedrijven.<\/p>\n<h3>Bundesrat plant tegenmaatregelen<\/h3>\n<p>Om deze ontwikkeling tegen te gaan, heeft de Bundesrat in het verlagingsrapport eind 2025 aangekondigd de tot 2030 beperkte bedrijfsbijdragen voor het gecombineerde vervoer te verlengen. De desbetreffende moties van de verkeerscommissies van de Nationale Raad en de St\u00e4nderat zijn ter goedkeuring ingediend. Deze maatregelen moeten de transportbedrijven een langdurige plannings- en investeringszekerheid bieden. Daarnaast zijn tijdelijke financi\u00eble prikkels voorzien om de gevolgen van de geplande stopzetting van de &#8222;Rollende Landstra\u00dfe&#8220; vanaf december 2025 te verzachten.<\/p>\n<p>Een verdere stap van de Bundesrat is de bevordering van een snelle modernisering van de spoorinfrastructuur in de buurlanden. De Bundesrat zal zich inzetten voor een goede internationale co\u00f6rdinatie van de bouwwerkzaamheden en ervoor zorgen dat er voldoende krachtige omleidingsmogelijkheden voor het spoorweggoederenvervoer beschikbaar zijn. Deze maatregelen moeten bijdragen aan het versterken van de concurrentiekracht van het spoorvervoer en de aantrekkelijkheid van het alpenquerende goederenvervoer in het algemeen verhogen.<\/p>\n<h3><a
