Met een totaal investeringsvolume van 120 miljoen EUR moet de terminal de rol van Itali\u00eb in de Europese logistieke corridors versterken. Onlangs werd het montageproces van de eerste drie elektrische portaalkranen afgerond, wat als een belangrijke mijlpaal voor het project wordt beschouwd.<\/p>\n<h3>Uitbreiding van de intermodale capaciteiten<\/h3>\n<p>De nieuwe terminal zal een centrale rol spelen in het intermodale verkeer tussen spoor en weg. Hij is ontworpen om de capaciteit voor het goederenvervoer langs de as Itali\u00eb\u2013Zwitserland\u2013Noord-Europa aanzienlijk te verhogen. De op rails bewegende elektrische portaalkranen zijn cruciaal voor het laden en lossen van containers en moeten hoge normen op het gebied van effici\u00ebntie, veiligheid en milieuvriendelijkheid waarborgen.<\/p>\n<p>De installatie van de kranen maakt deel uit van een contract ter waarde van ongeveer 31 miljoen EUR, dat in augustus 2024 met het Oostenrijkse bedrijf K\u00fcnz is ondertekend. Dit contract omvat de productie, montage en inbedrijfstelling van in totaal zes kranen. Naast de kranen zijn ook de werkzaamheden aan de noodzakelijke infrastructuren en technologische installaties voor het eerste module van de terminal gaande.<\/p>\n<h3>Strategische betekenis voor de logistiek<\/h3>\n<p>Stefano Antonio Donnarumma, algemeen directeur van de FS-groep, benadrukt de strategische betekenis van de nieuwe terminal: \u201eMet de nieuwe intermodale terminal in Milano Smistamento versterken we de inzet van de FS-groep in de grote logistieke assen van Europa en versnellen we de overgang van weg naar spoor.\u201c Hij benadrukt dat het project niet alleen een infrastructuur cre\u00ebert, maar ook een belangrijk knooppunt in een emissiearm logistiek netwerk vormt.<\/p>\n<p>De terminal wordt gebouwd op een oppervlakte van ongeveer 240.000 m\u00b2 en wordt uitgerust met de modernste technologie. Hij zal over 15 sporen beschikken, die elk minimaal 740 m lang zijn, waarbij tien sporen zijn bestemd voor overslagoperaties en vijf sporen ter ondersteuning. Elk van de twee modules zal worden uitgerust met drie elektrische portaalkranen. In volle werking zal de terminal in staat zijn om tot 44 treinen per dag te beheren en een potenti\u00eble capaciteit van ongeveer 395.000 UTI per jaar te bereiken.<\/p>\n<p>Bernhard Kunz, voorzitter van TerAlp, benadrukt het belang van de samenwerking tussen Hupac en FS Logistix. Hij legt uit dat het nieuwe platform van de terminal een belangrijke kans zal bieden om de Italiaanse markt en zijn havens effici\u00ebnter te verbinden met de belangrijkste markten in Noord-Europa. De daaruit voortvloeiende capaciteitsvergroting zal bovendien een stimulans cre\u00ebren voor de overdracht van goederen van de weg naar het spoor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a
