Het bedrijf, gevestigd in Emden, zal vanuit deze locatie talrijke overzeese fabrieken van de autobouwer van ongeveer 3.000 verschillende onderdelen voorzien. Daarnaast worden onderdelen ontvangen en verdeeld naar meer dan 20 Europese fabrieken. Jaarlijks worden er ongeveer 5.500 containers behandeld.<\/p>\n<h3>Overname en toekomstige perspectieven<\/h3>\n<p>Marcus Dirks, eigenaar van de DIRKS Group, sprak zijn tevredenheid uit over de overdracht van de exploitatie: \u201eWij zijn zeer verheugd dat Volkswagen ons de exploitatie van het verpakkingscentrum in Wilhelmshaven heeft toevertrouwd.\u201d Hij benadrukte dat de DIRKS Group in staat is om door de combinatie van automotive expertise en logistieke vaardigheden een passende oplossing te bieden. Jan Wegmann, hoofd DIRKS Automotive, voegde eraan toe dat het bedrijf door toekomstige volumeverplaatsingen en extra opdrachten op de locatie Wilhelmshaven verder wil groeien.<\/p>\n<p>De DIRKS Group heeft momenteel ongeveer 4.500 medewerkers en exploiteert 32 locaties, zowel in Duitsland als internationaal.
