De Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) heeft een verdere stap gezet richting geautomatiseerde containerafhandeling in de haven van Hamburg. Bij de HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) staan de eerste op afstand bediende containerkranen op het punt van inbedrijfstelling. De volledige integratie van de eerste drie van deze kranen in de terminaloperatie is gepland voor februari 2024. Tot het jaar 2030 moeten alle 14 containerkranen op de CTA worden vervangen door hooggeautomatiseerde modellen. De volgende drie kranen worden naar verwachting in april 2026 geleverd.<\/p>\n

Vooruitgang en vooruitzicht<\/h3>\n

Over de huidige stand van het project informeerden Jeroen Eijsink, CEO van de HHLA (foto links), en Hamburgs senator voor economie Dr. Melanie Leonhard (rechts) tijdens een bezoek aan de CTA. Eijsink benadrukte dat de investering in de nieuwe kranen de concurrentiekracht van de installaties zal versterken en de basis zal leggen voor effici\u00ebnte processen. Hij benadrukte dat de technische verdere ontwikkeling gepaard gaat met uitgebreide kwalificatiemaatregelen om ervoor te zorgen dat de medewerkers de nieuwe technologie\u00ebn succesvol in de operatie kunnen integreren.<\/p>\n

Dr. Melanie Leonhard voegde toe dat automatisering een essenti\u00eble voorwaarde is om de grootste haven van Duitsland toekomstbestendig te maken. Ze verwees naar de noodzaak om de infrastructuur modern te maken en de processen actueel te houden. Automatisering verhoogt de effici\u00ebntie en verandert tegelijkertijd de beroepsprofielen in de haven. Daarom is voortdurende scholing en bijscholing cruciaal om de medewerkers voor te bereiden op de veranderingen in de arbeidswereld.<\/p>\n

De nieuwe containerkranen, die in december 2024 per speciaal schip naar Hamburg worden geleverd, bereiken een hoogte van tot 120 m en hebben een reikwijdte van ongeveer 146 m. Ze zijn in staat om schepen met tot 16.000 TEU af te handelen. Geautomatiseerde processen bij het laden en lossen, evenals een OCR-systeem voor digitale containerregistratie, moeten snellere processen en een naadloze gegevensintegratie mogelijk maken. De bediening van de kranen gebeurt volledig op afstand, waarbij de huidige kraanbestuurders gericht zijn bijgeschoold om hun taken in de toekomst als afstandsbedieners vanuit het kantoorgebouw over te nemen.<\/p>\n

Een centraal element van het project is de kwalificatie van de medewerkers. In het kader van het project DigiRemote2030 wordt een simulator ingezet om een realistische opleiding te waarborgen. Ongeveer 70 containerkraanbestuurders hebben deze opleiding al met succes afgerond. Naast de afstandsbedieners worden ook de inwijzers, toezichthouders en ladingbeheerders aan de containerkranen bijgeschoold, aangezien de processen door de automatisering veranderen.<\/p>\n

De HHLA stimuleert de automatisering ook op andere locaties. Bij de Container Terminal Burchardkai zijn al eerste grote schepen met behulp van Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) afgehandeld. Tot medio 2024 moet de overstap naar geautomatiseerd containertransport aan de waterzijde daar volledig zijn doorgevoerd.<\/p>\n
