De EcoDuo, een voertuigcombinatie van twee standaard opleggers, verbonden via een dolly en getrokken door slechts \u00e9\u00e9n trekker, heeft zich in de voor- en natransport van het gecombineerde verkeer als effici\u00ebnt, veilig en klimaatvriendelijk bewezen. <\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Horstmar) Het project is ge\u00efnitieerd door de Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) en uitgevoerd in samenwerking met Ses\u00e9, Kombiverkehr, Volkswagen Konzernlogistik, T\u00dcV Rheinland en Schmitz Cargobull.<\/p>\n<p>Andreas Schmitz, voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van Schmitz Cargobull AG, benadrukt: \u00a0\u201eIn vergelijking met eerdere lange vrachtwagenconcepten voldoet de EcoDuo aan alle veiligheidsnormen en is het ideaal voor het gecombineerde verkeer, omdat standaard opleggers probleemloos per spoor kunnen worden geladen. De EcoDuo is onmiddellijk en zonder dure investeringen beschikbaar en levert direct een bijdrage aan de CO\u2082-reductie in het wegvervoer.\u201d<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Effici\u00ebntie en klimaatbescherming in de schijnwerpers<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>T\u00dcV Rheinland heeft het EcoDuo-pilotproject wetenschappelijk begeleid en de resultaten bevestigen een groot besparingspotentieel en effici\u00ebntieverbeteringen: In vergelijking met het gebruik van twee vrachtwagens met elk een standaard oplegger is het dieselverbruik en de bijbehorende CO2-voetafdruk met de EcoDuo met 27,6 procent verminderd. Het wegvervoer kan effici\u00ebnter plaatsvinden door een aanzienlijke vermindering van het aantal ritten bij een gelijkblijvend transportvolume. De standaard opleggers zijn zonder beperkingen spoorweggeschikt, wat een naadloze integratie in bestaande intermodale logistieke processen mogelijk maakt. Verminderde CO2-uitstoot, maar ook een lagere belasting van de wegen per as dragen actief bij aan de bescherming van het klimaat en de infrastructuur. Bovendien bevestigt T\u00dcV Rheinland een aanzienlijke ontlasting van de wegen en bruggen.<\/p>\n<h5>Positief netwerk voor lange vrachtwagens in Duitsland<\/h5>\n<p>Andreas Schmitz: \u201eSchmitz Cargobull zal zich blijven inzetten om het EcoDuo-concept op te nemen in het positief netwerk voor lange vrachtwagens in Duitsland en het grensoverschrijdende verkeer in Europa. Ik doe een dringende oproep aan de politieke besluitvormers om de weg daarvoor vrij te maken. We moeten dringend voorwaarden scheppen die de transitie naar een klimaatvriendelijk goederenvervoer zonder extra lasten actief bevorderen.
