De staalindustrie is een centrale pijler van de Europese economie \u2013 haar producten stromen in bijna alle industri\u00eble waardeketens. De logistiek is complex, systeemrelevant en veeleisend. DB Cargo ondersteunt deze sleutelindustrie met op maat gemaakte, duurzame en krachtige transportoplossingen.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Mainz) In het kader van onze gespecialiseerde bedrijfsstructuur presenteren we vandaag de business unit Steel \u2013 een sterke partner van de staalproducerende en -verwerkende industrie. Als een van de vier business units onder het bestuursportefeuille Spoorweglogistiek, geleid door Pierre Timmermans, is zij actief langs de gehele procesketen van de staalindustrie: van de grondstoffenvoorziening tot interbedrijfstransporten en de levering van eindproducten.<\/p>\n

De sector Steel is gespecialiseerd in transport- en logistieke oplossingen voor de Europese staalindustrie en fungeert als een langdurige, gevestigde spoorweglogistiekpartner. Ze is nauw ge\u00efntegreerd in de waardeketen van de staalindustrie en neemt deel aan het gehele proces \u2013 van de grondstoffenvoorziening tot interbedrijfstransporten en de levering van eindproducten.<\/p>\n

Met een uitgebreid aanbod aan transportoplossingen ondersteunt DB Cargo staalbedrijven bij het effici\u00ebnt en duurzaam inrichten van hun logistiek. Het sectorteam staal heeft zich gevestigd als een centraal onderdeel van de Europese staalvoorziening en levert een belangrijke bijdrage aan de totale opbrengst van DB Cargo.<\/p>\n

80 procent als volledige treinvervoer<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Ongeveer 80 procent van de grondstoffen- en interbedrijfstransporten vindt plaats in effici\u00ebnte volledige treinvervoer. Aanvullend speelt het enkelwagenvervoer een centrale rol, vooral bij het transport van staalhalffabricaten naar verder verwerkende bedrijven. Zo benut de sector de kostenvoordelen van grote transportvolumes in het systeemvervoer en garandeert tegelijkertijd een flexibele aansluiting van ook afgelegen locaties.<\/p>\n
