Ashwin Bhat zal worden benoemd tot de nieuwe voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van Lufthansa Cargo. Onder voorbehoud van de nog uit te brengen beslissing van de raad van toezicht van Lufthansa Cargo, neemt hij zijn nieuwe functie op 15 april 2023 in. In zijn nieuwe rol behoudt hij de verantwoordelijkheid voor de gebieden product en verkoop.<\/h5>\n

(Frankfurt) Dr. Michael Niggemann, lid van de raad van bestuur van Deutsche Lufthansa AG en voorzitter van de raad van toezicht van Lufthansa Cargo, zegt:<\/p>\n

\u201eIk ben zeer verheugd dat met Ashwin Bhat een zeer ervaren manager en internationaal ervaren logistiek- en vrachtexpert deze verantwoordelijke taak op zich neemt. Hij heeft als bestuurslid aanzienlijk bijgedragen aan het feit dat Lufthansa Cargo de historisch succesvolste jaren heeft kunnen boeken. Als CEO zal hij het bedrijf verder ontwikkelen en de sterke marktpositie uitbreiden.\u201c<\/p>\n

Lufthansa Cargo zal ook in de toekomst worden geleid door een driehoofdige raad van bestuur. De benoeming van het derde bestuurslid, samen met een nieuwe verdeling van taken, zal zo snel mogelijk plaatsvinden.<\/p>\n

Kenner van de luchtvrachtsector<\/h5>\n

Ashwin Bhat, geboren in 1969, studeerde scheikunde aan de Universiteit van Mumbai, India. Bhat begon zijn carri\u00e8re bij Airline Financial Support Services in India. In 1999 trad hij toe tot het toenmalige Swisscargo en bekleedde hij verschillende leidinggevende functies, onder andere in Revenue Management, Transport Management en Global Area Management. Vanaf 2015 leidde Bhat de cargo-activiteiten bij Swiss International Air Lines. In 2021 werd hij als CCO in de raad van bestuur van Lufthansa Cargo benoemd.<\/p>\n
