Het logistieke concept van Smart City Loop is gericht op stedelijke gebieden. Hierdoor kunnen gepalletiseerde goederen in de toekomst automatisch ondergronds naar steden worden vervoerd en op de terugweg bijvoorbeeld lege flessen en waardevolle materialen.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Mainz\/K\u00f6ln\/Hamburg) Een haalbaarheidsstudie die in Hamburg is uitgevoerd, heeft aangetoond dat de ondergrondse transportoplossing technisch en economisch haalbaar is. Bovendien zou het een aanzienlijke bijdrage leveren aan de vermindering van CO2-uitstoot en de verkeersdrukte in de stad. De ruggengraat van het concept zijn ondergrondse buiswegen. Voor de bouw daarvan zijn momenteel de voorbereidingen voor de vergunningsprocedure aan de gang. Na de goedkeuring van het plan is de ambitieuze tijdlijn gericht op een ingebruikname begin 2026, volgens het plan van het start-up bedrijf Smart-City-Loop.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Regelmatige professionele uitwisseling<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>DB Cargo ondersteunt de uitvoering van het project in Hamburg met bestaande technische knowhow en regelmatige professionele uitwisseling. In de toekomst moet het spoorweggoederenvervoer worden uitgebreid met de intelligente, milieuvriendelijke verkeers- en goederenvervoerssystemen van Smart City Loop. Het doel: milieuvriendelijke goederenvervoer in stedelijke gebieden.
