In de havenstad Oostende bouwt TGW tot november 2023 een krachtig fulfillment center voor UpFresh. De automatisering biedt een hoog niveau van flexibiliteit en ondersteunt de ambitieuze groeidoelstellingen van de Belgische levensmiddelenexpert.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Marchtrenk\/Oostende) UpFresh is een van de toonaangevende groothandels in levensmiddelen in Belgi\u00eb en levert aan meer dan 2.700 verkooppunten vlees, kaas, salades en convenience-producten. Snelheid speelt een centrale rol in het businessmodel van de B2B-specialist. Klanten kunnen zeven dagen per week bestellen: wie voor 18:00 uur bestelt, ontvangt het geselecteerde verse assortiment de volgende dag betrouwbaar geleverd.<\/p>\n

Software beheert alle processen<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Het hart van het systeem is een drie-gangen shuttle-magazijn dat een temperatuurbereik van twee tot vier graden Celsius dekt. Het dient zowel voor het opslaan van goederen als voor het bufferen van lege of bestellcontainers. Bestellingen worden verzameld op drie PickCenter One high-performance werkplekken.<\/p>\n

Robots nemen het volledig geautomatiseerd samenstellen van de pallets of het depalettiseren van de lege containers over. De verschillende gebieden van het fulfillment center zijn verbonden met meer dan 1,5 kilometer energie-effici\u00ebnte KingDrive\u00ae<\/sup> transporttechnologie. Alle processen worden gepland, aangestuurd en bewaakt door de TGW Warehouse Software \u2013 deze fungeert als Warehouse Control System (WCS) en Material Flow Computer (MFC).<\/p>\n

Krachtige intralogistiek als basis<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Het nieuwe distributiecentrum ondersteunt de groeidoelstellingen van UpFresh en vormt de basis voor snelle, betrouwbare service. De oplossing biedt een hoog niveau van flexibiliteit en helpt zo bij een duurzame vermindering van de operationele kosten.<\/p>\n
