Naast de bestaande partners DST Global, Founders Fund en Softbank Vision Fund zijn er ook nieuwe investeerders betrokken, waaronder een strategische investering van Shopify en een deelname van Kevin Kwok. Met de nieuwe financieringsronde stijgt de waardering van Flexport tot meer dan acht miljard dollar.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(PresseBox; Hamburg\/San Francisco) Flexport zal het nieuwe kapitaal gebruiken om de ontwikkeling van zijn technologieplatform voor het beheer van wereldwijde toeleveringsketens verder te versnellen, om uit te breiden naar nieuwe markten en om belangrijke strategische partnerschappen aan te gaan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eDe pandemie en de daaruit voortvloeiende druk op de wereldwijde toeleveringsketens hebben het soepele transport van goederen \u2013 iets wat veel mensen tot nu toe als vanzelfsprekend beschouwden \u2013 tot een grote uitdaging gemaakt,\u201d legt Ryan Petersen, oprichter en CEO van Flexport, uit. \u201eDe investering toont duidelijk aan dat de markt de noodzaak van een technologiegedreven, transparant en veerkrachtig logistiek ecosysteem heeft erkend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>De kapitaalverhoging volgt op een continue groei van het bedrijf. In 2021 is de omzet van Flexport meer dan verdubbeld. Inmiddels vervoert het bedrijf voor zijn klanten in 112 landen goederen ter waarde van meer dan 17 miljard euro.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Innovatieve benaderingen voor historische uitdagingen<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>\u201eDe wereldhandel staat voor historische uitdagingen.
