Lufthansa Cargo heeft met de modernisering van het hoogbouwmagazijn van de Road Feeder Services een nieuwe grote opdracht verleend in het kader van haar infrastructuurprogramma op de hub Frankfurt. De twee bedrijven Vollert Anlagenbau en K\u00f6rber hebben onlangs de aanbestedingsprocedure gewonnen en zullen in de toekomst de modernisering van de mechanica, besturing en IT van het hoogbouwmagazijn uitvoeren.<\/p>\n

(Frankfurt\/Main) \u201eDe modernisering van de RFS-stacker is een belangrijke schakel in het uitgebreide infrastructuurprogramma voor het logistieke centrum op de locatie Frankfurt\u201c, legt Harald Gloy, lid van de raad van bestuur van Lufthansa Cargo Operations en Personeel, uit. \u201eOnze klanten in het gebied van Road Feeder Services profiteren in de toekomst van kortere doorlooptijden en een effici\u00ebntere afhandeling van transporten per vrachtwagen. Met behulp van een moderne IT-omgeving waarborgen we de aanpassingsmogelijkheden van het hoogbouwmagazijn met betrekking tot toekomstige technologische ontwikkelingen.\u201c<\/p>\n

Maatwerkoplossing<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Dirk Hejnal, CEO van het K\u00f6rber-businessgebied Supply Chain, benadrukt: \u201eK\u00f6rber’s uitgebreide expertise in Supply Chain-technologie, in dit geval op het gebied van retrofit, automatisering en software, stelt ons in staat om Lufthansa Cargo voor dit project een maatwerkoplossing te bieden. Zo kan het voldoen aan de hoge eisen van vandaag en morgen en een betere klantenservice bieden.\u201c<\/p>\n

Lufthansa Cargo zal het logistieke centrum op haar thuisbasis Frankfurt verder ontwikkelen en vernieuwen in het kader van haar infrastructuurprogramma \u201eLCCevolution\u201c. Tegelijkertijd worden er momenteel naast de nieuwbouw van het kunstmagazijn verschillende voorbereidende maatregelen getroffen voor de nieuwbouw van het centrale hoogbouwmagazijn in het Lufthansa Cargo Center. De verbouwingswerkzaamheden in de gebieden mechanica, besturing en IT-systemen van het ongeveer 20 jaar oude RFS-hoogbouwmagazijn starten in het tweede kwartaal van 2022. Twee opslagbedieningssystemen worden vervangen door nieuwe technologie.<\/p>\n

Afsluiting van de werkzaamheden in de zomer van 2023<\/strong><\/h5>\n

De Moving Truck Docks, die nodig zijn voor het laden en lossen van vrachtwagens met ULD’s, worden ook gemoderniseerd. De afronding van de verbouwingswerkzaamheden van de RFS-stacker is gepland voor begin zomer 2023. De volledige modernisering van het Lufthansa Cargo Center moet in 2029 zijn afgerond.<\/p>\n
