De luchthaven Frankfurt (Fraport) zet zijn langzame herstel voort. De beginnende opwaartse trend in het aantal passagiers zette zich in juni voort, ondanks de nog steeds duidelijke gevolgen van de COVID-19-pandemie. Ook de vrachtvolumes lieten opnieuw een aanzienlijke stijging zien. FRA versterkt daarmee zijn rol als leidend vrachtknooppunt in Europa.<\/p>\n

(Frankfurt\/Main) De luchthaven Frankfurt telde ongeveer 1,78 miljoen passagiers. Dit komt overeen met een toename van bijna 200 procent ten opzichte van juni 2020. De vergelijkingswaarde van de voorgaande maand was echter laag, omdat het luchtverkeer vorig jaar als gevolg van de stijgende infectiecijfers sterk was ingekbroken. In de verslagperiode hadden de dalende incidentiecijfers en opgeheven reisadviezen opnieuw een positieve invloed op de vraag. Voor het eerst sinds het begin van de crisis reisden in juni op twee dagen meer dan 80.000 passagiers via Frankfurt Airport. In vergelijking met juni 2019 registreerde de luchthaven Frankfurt in de verslagperiode opnieuw een aanzienlijke daling van 73,0 procent1<\/sup>. Geaccumuleerd over de eerste helft van 2021 lag het aantal passagiers op ongeveer 6,5 miljoen. Dit komt overeen met een daling van 46,6 procent ten opzichte van de vergelijkingsperiode in 2020 en van 80,7 procent ten opzichte van 2019.<\/p>\n

Luchtvracht stijgt ondanks ontbrekende capaciteiten<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Het vrachtvolume steeg echter, ondanks de nog steeds ontbrekende capaciteiten van de vracht in passagiersvliegtuigen, opnieuw met 30,6 procent tot 190.131 ton en bereikte daarmee de op \u00e9\u00e9n na hoogste waarde in een juni. Dit komt overeen met een stijging van 9,0 procent ten opzichte van juni 2019. Daarmee onderstreept de luchthaven Frankfurt zijn rol als leidend vrachtknooppunt in Europa. Het aantal vliegbewegingen steeg ten opzichte van 2020 met meer dan 114 procent tot 20.010 starts en landingen. Het totaalgewicht van de maximale startgewichten groeide met 78,9 procent tot ongeveer 1,36 miljoen ton. Ook de internationale groepsluchthavens registreerden in de verslagperiode opnieuw aanzienlijke stijgingen van enkele honderden procenten, maar vergeleken met de sterk gedaalde passagiersaantallen in juni 2020. Ten opzichte van juni 2019 lagen de passagiersaantallen in het internationale portfolio nog steeds aanzienlijk achter.<\/p>\n

Volume stijgt ook bij de Fraport-luchthavens in het buitenland<\/strong><\/h5>\n

De luchthaven in het Sloveense Ljubljana registreerde in de verslagperiode 27.953 passagiers. Op de Braziliaanse luchthavens in Fortaleza en Porto Alegre steeg het aantal passagiers tot 608.088. De luchthaven in Lima (Peru) registreerde in juni 806.617 passagiers. Het aantal passagiers op de 14 Griekse regionale luchthavens nam toe tot ongeveer 1,5 miljoen passagiers. Op de Bulgaarse Twin Star-luchthavens steeg het aantal tot 158.306 passagiers. De luchthaven Antalya in Turkije registreerde een stijging tot ongeveer 1,7 miljoen passagiers. Het aantal passagiers op de luchthaven St. Petersburg in Rusland groeide tot ongeveer 1,9 miljoen passagiers. De luchthaven Xi\u2019an in China registreerde een stijging van 31,8 procent tot ongeveer 3,5 miljoen passagiers. Daarmee telden de luchthaven Antalya en de Griekse luchthavens in juni ongeveer evenveel passagiers als Frankfurt, terwijl de luchthaven Xi\u2019an het dubbele aantal passagiers had.
