Hapag-Lloyd AG neemt de Nederlandse Afrika-specialist Nile Dutch over. De overname versterkt de positie van Hapag-Lloyd op de Afrikaanse markt aanzienlijk. Klanten zullen profiteren van een nog dichter netwerk en hogere vertrekfrequenties. De mededingingsautoriteiten moeten de transactie nog goedkeuren.<\/p>\n

(Hamburg) Hapag-Lloyd en NileDutch hebben vandaag een koopovereenkomst ondertekend, waardoor Hapag-Lloyd alle aandelen van de Nederlandse containerrederij Nile Dutch Investments B.V. (NileDutch) verwerft. Met ongeveer 40 jaar ervaring is NileDutch een van de toonaangevende aanbieders van containerdiensten van en naar West-Afrika. Het bedrijf is wereldwijd op 85 locaties aanwezig en heeft 16 eigen kantoren in Nederland, Belgi\u00eb, Frankrijk, Singapore, China, Angola, Congo en Kameroen. Met tien lijndiensten en ongeveer 35.000 TEU transportcapaciteit en een containerbestand van ongeveer 80.000 TEU verbindt het bedrijf Europa, Azi\u00eb en Latijns-Amerika met West- en Zuid-Afrika. NileDutch heeft zijn hoofdkantoor in Rotterdam en heeft wereldwijd ongeveer 350 medewerkers die over bijzondere expertise in de Afrikaanse markt beschikken.<\/p>\n

Afrika is strategische groeimarkt<\/strong><\/h5>\n

De overname van NileDutch versterkt onze positie, vooral in West-Afrika, en is een uitstekende aanvulling op onze bestaande activiteiten op het continent.
