De elektronicaspecialist Weidm\u00fcller GmbH & Co. KG, met hoofdkantoor in Detmold, doet de grootste enkele investering in de bedrijfs geschiedenis en bouwt in de buurt van de Th\u00fcringse vestiging in Wutha-Farnroda een nieuw logistiek centrum. Hiermee scherpt Weidm\u00fcller zijn logistiek profiel aan en verbetert daarmee de klantenservice.<\/p>\n

(Detmold) Met de grootste enkele investering in de bedrijfs geschiedenis staan de tekenen bij de Detmolder elektronicaspecialist Weidm\u00fcller op groei: Niet ver van Eisenach wordt een nieuw logistiek centrum gebouwd op een terrein van meer dan 72.000 vierkante meter. De bouwwerkzaamheden zijn begonnen in de herfst van 2020, de oplevering is gepland voor 2022. Met deze investering in de dubbele miljoenen euro’s stelt het familiebedrijf de koers vast voor verdere groei en meer klantenservice in de verzendsector.<\/p>\n

Toekomstgericht voor een innovatieve logistiek<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Slechts tien kilometer van de locatie van de Th\u00fcringse Weidm\u00fcller GmbH (TWG) verwijderd, met een optimale verbinding naar de fabriek zelf, de snelweg en korte wegen naar de twee belangrijkste Duitse vrachtvliegvelden Frankfurt en Leipzig, scherpt Weidm\u00fcller zijn logistiek profiel aan. De nieuwbouw is de basis voor een toekomstgerichte en innovatieve logistiek en een investering in de locatie Duitsland. Het nieuwe logistiek centrum, dat onder de projecttitel \u201eNGL\u201c (Next Generation Logistics) valt, zal het wereldwijde overslagpunt zijn voor alle producten uit de fabrieken in Duitsland, Roemeni\u00eb en Tsjechi\u00eb. \u201eWe zitten in een groeisector en leveren innovatieve technologie\u00ebn en producten die cruciaal zijn voor de beschikbaarheid van machines, installaties en ook infrastructuren\u201c, legt verkoopdirecteur Dr. Timo Berger uit. \u201eOm tegemoet te komen aan de toenemende dynamiek van onze markten, moeten we alle toeleveringsketens verder optimaliseren. Digitalisering en netwerken spelen hierbij een belangrijke rol. Met een nieuw logistiek concept kunnen we deze eisen - van de verzending van onze leveranciers tot de ontvangst van onze klanten - gericht en optimaal implementeren.\u201c<\/p>\n

Het bouwproject uitstellen was geen optie<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Ondanks de pandemie en onzekerheid in 2020 was het geen optie om dit bouwproject uit te stellen. \u201eWe moeten vandaag meer dan ooit denken aan de tijd na de crisis en de ingrijpende veranderingen en ons handelen daarop afstemmen\u201d, aldus Berger. Als middelgroot familiebedrijf plant Weidm\u00fcller de ontwikkeling van het bedrijf op lange termijn. \u201eAlleen zo zijn en blijven we krachtig en kunnen we onze klanten een betrouwbare partner zijn. Dit omvat dat we nog sneller, flexibeler en beter moeten worden in onze leverings- en klantenservice.\u201c De bouw is ook noodzakelijk om in de fabriek in Th\u00fcringen verder te kunnen groeien. \u201eDe opwaartse trend die we al in het vierde kwartaal van vorig jaar konden waarnemen, zet zich voort, waardoor ook de eerste bedrijfsresultaten voor 2021 uiterst veelbelovend zijn\u201d, aldus Berger. \u201cWe kijken optimistisch naar de komende maanden, hopen op snelle vooruitgang in de beheersing van de pandemie wereldwijd en verwachten een positieve ontwikkeling van onze markten in de komende jaren.\u201d Het nieuwe logistiek centrum is voor Weidm\u00fcller een belangrijke mijlpaal om de toekomstige uitdagingen aan te kunnen.
