(NEE) strijdt met een lange en duidelijke brief aan Margrethe Vestager (EU-commissaris voor Concurrentie) en Adina-Ioana V\u0103lean (EU-commissaris voor Vervoer) voor eerlijke concurrentie op het spoor, met name voor het goederenvervoer. Met de subsidi\u00ebring van de DB door de Duitse federale regering ziet de NEE een duidelijke concurrentievervalsing en wil daartegen optreden.<\/p>\n<p>(Berlijn) De federale regering en de Bondsdag zijn van plan om de Deutsche Bahn AG dit jaar tot vijf miljard euro als eigen vermogen te verstrekken en onderbouwen dit voornemen met de gevolgen van de COVID-19-pandemie. Dit voornemen is vanuit het perspectief van het Netwerk van Europese Spoorwegen e.V. (NEE) EU-rechts onwettig, omdat het, ongeacht de noodzaak om de door COVID-19 getroffen goederenvervoerders te ondersteunen, in de voorgestelde vorm de eerlijke concurrentie aanzienlijk ten gunste van de DB-goederenvervoerders zou vervormen. Ook tijdens de pandemie gelden Europese regels die ondernemingen en banen beschermen tegen willekeurige subsidies.<\/p>\n<h5>Ernstige concurrentievervalsing<\/h5>\n<p>De geplande verhoging van het eigen vermogen zou voor de door de NEE vertegenwoordigde goederenvervoerders, die niet tot de DB-groep behoren, een ernstige concurrentievervalsing betekenen. Vanuit het perspectief van de NEE is het bijzonder betreurenswaardig dat de in wezen gelijkgerichte inspanningen van de concurrentievervoerders en DB Cargo om verkeer van de weg naar het spoor te verplaatsen, door de benadeling van de concurrentievervoerders politiek ondermijnd worden, waardoor het succesverhaal van de concurrentie (verdubbeling van het goederenvervoer per spoor sinds het midden van de jaren negentig) in gevaar komt. Hoewel het juridisch zelfstandige bedrijven zijn, opereren ze toch onder \u00e9\u00e9n dak. Juist in het geval van corona-subsidies zou men in een neutrale infrastructuurmaatschappij kunnen investeren en niemand zou over concurrentievervalsing hoeven te discussi\u00ebren.
