In april steeg de vrachtomzet ten opzichte van dezelfde maand vorig jaar met zeven procent tot ongeveer 107.671 ton.<\/p>\n<p>(Leipzig\/Halle, 18.05.2020) Van januari tot april steeg de waarde in vergelijking met het voorgaande jaar met 0,6 procent tot 404.987 ton. Leipzig\/Halle blijft zich in het midden van de coronacrisis opnieuw onderscheiden van de landelijke trend. In Duitsland lag de vrachttonnage in maart op een min van 11,7 procent.<\/p>\n<p>De reden voor de groei is vooral het hoge volume van zendingen bij de thuiscarrier DHL. Daar komen extra chartervluchten bij, bijvoorbeeld van Aeroflot en Vietnam Airlines. Midden in de coronacrisis steeg het vrachtchartervolume in april met 25,6 procent. Veel vrachtvluchten worden inmiddels ook uitgevoerd met passagiersvliegtuigen.<\/p>\n<p>Ideale omstandigheden voor logistiekers<br \/>\nIn de huidige crisis laat zien hoe belangrijk een goed functionerende luchtverkeersinfrastructuur is voor de bevoorrading van de bevolking. De luchthaven Leipzig\/Halle heeft een 24-uurs exploitatievergunning voor vrachtvluchten en een directe aansluiting op het trans-Europese weg- en spoorwegnet in noord-zuid- en oost-westrichting. Dit biedt Leipzig\/Halle ideale voorwaarden voor het transport van goederen over de weg en per spoor.<\/p>\n<p>Het start- en landingsbaan systeem omvat twee parallelle landingsbanen van elk 3.600 meter lang, die ook onder CAT-III-b-voorwaarden onafhankelijk van elkaar kunnen worden gebruikt.<\/p>\n<p>Bovendien beschikt PortGround, een dochteronderneming van Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG die gespecialiseerd is in vliegtuig- en vrachtafhandeling, over een CEIV-Pharma-certificering en is daarmee in staat om 24\/7 tijdkritische en temperatuurgevoelige farmaceutische zendingen af te handelen.<\/p>\n<p>DHL exploiteert sinds 2008 haar Europese hub op deze locatie. Het is de grootste binnen haar wereldwijde netwerk, waarin 655 miljoen euro is ge\u00efnvesteerd.
