Cette initiative fait suite \u00e0 un protocole d&#8217;accord (MoU) sign\u00e9 en juin 2025 lors du Salon international de l&#8217;a\u00e9ronautique de Paris entre les deux entreprises.<\/p>\n<h3>Focus sur la technologie de l&#8217;hydrog\u00e8ne<\/h3>\n<p>La nouvelle entreprise devrait pr\u00e9senter une structure organisationnelle agile afin d&#8217;acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le d\u00e9veloppement technologique, la conception, les tests et la certification d&#8217;un nouveau syst\u00e8me de propulsion a\u00e9ronautique bas\u00e9 sur des piles \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne. Airbus et MTU mettront en commun leurs comp\u00e9tences ainsi que diverses \u00e9quipes d&#8217;ing\u00e9nierie et de fabrication des deux organisations dans la coentreprise.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;accord non contraignant est soumis \u00e0 l&#8217;approbation des autorit\u00e9s comp\u00e9tentes et \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation de processus sociaux au niveau europ\u00e9en et national. Le lancement de la coentreprise est pr\u00e9vu pour 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno Fichefeux, responsable des programmes futurs chez Airbus, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 :<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u00ab Notre coentreprise projet\u00e9e est la prochaine \u00e9tape logique dans notre vision commune d&#8217;un concept de propulsion bas\u00e9 sur l&#8217;hydrog\u00e8ne pour l&#8217;aviation. En unissant nos technologies et notre expertise au sein d&#8217;une entit\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e, nous cr\u00e9ons une force europ\u00e9enne capable de transformer la recherche avanc\u00e9e en syst\u00e8mes de propulsion \u00e9lectriques industrialis\u00e9s et certifiables. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dr. Stefan Weber, vice-pr\u00e9sident senior de l&#8217;ing\u00e9nierie et de la technologie chez MTU Aero Engines, a soulign\u00e9 :<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u00ab Notre objectif ambitieux est de pr\u00e9parer le terrain pour un syst\u00e8me de propulsion nouvellement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9, s\u00fbr, fiable et \u00e9conomique, qui contribue \u00e0 une aviation climatiquement neutre. Ce projet est une \u00e9tape d\u00e9cisive sur notre chemin vers le premier syst\u00e8me de propulsion \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>L&#8217;hydrog\u00e8ne a le potentiel de r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement l&#8217;impact climatique de l&#8217;aviation \u00e0 long terme et de transformer le transport a\u00e9rien de mani\u00e8re similaire \u00e0 celle des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques dans l&#8217;industrie automobile.<\/p>\n<h3>Viser le leadership technologique<\/h3>\n<p>La coentreprise sera guid\u00e9e par l&#8217;ambition commune des partenaires de cr\u00e9er un leader technologique dans ce domaine et de fournir le premier syst\u00e8me de propulsion \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne bas\u00e9 sur des piles \u00e0 combustible pour les avions de ligne. Elle combinera l&#8217;expertise approfondie d&#8217;Airbus dans le domaine des avions de ligne avec l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience de longue date de MTU dans le d\u00e9veloppement de technologies de piles \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne et son expertise reconnue en conception, int\u00e9gration, validation et certification de moteurs.<\/p>\n<p>En plus des technologies de propulsion, Airbus et MTU continueront \u00e9galement \u00e0 promouvoir l&#8217;\u00e9mergence d&#8217;une \u00e9conomie a\u00e9ronautique \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne ainsi que le cadre r\u00e9glementaire associ\u00e9, qui repr\u00e9sentent \u00e9galement des conditions essentielles pour le d\u00e9ploiement \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle de vols propuls\u00e9s \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p>En mars 2025, Airbus avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 annonc\u00e9 qu&#8217;il concentrerait ses efforts sur un syst\u00e8me de propulsion enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectrique avec des piles \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne. Les r\u00e9sultats des tests de prototypes de piles \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne et de cha\u00eenes de propulsion, ainsi que la recherche sur des technologies compl\u00e9mentaires telles que la cryog\u00e9nie, soutiennent la faisabilit\u00e9 de cette technologie.
