ATM Global Logistics SA, headquartered in La Chaux-de-Fonds, celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. On the occasion of this milestone, the Swiss company reflects on the significant changes in the transportation sector it has experienced since its founding in 1976. The transition from paper-based processes to digital platforms and the increasing complexity of supply chains have fundamentally transformed the industry.<\/p>\n

From the past to the present<\/h3>\n

When ATM was founded in 1976, organizing transportation was a completely different challenge. Confirmations were made by phone, documents were sent by mail or fax, and the flow of goods heavily depended on communication between the parties involved. Despite these differences, the business was already based on the same fundamental principles: finding solutions, anticipating unforeseen events, and ensuring the flow of goods despite existing constraints.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the industry has adapted to changing markets and the increasing complexity of logistical operations. The digitization of processes and rising regulatory requirements have significantly influenced the way companies in the transportation sector operate. Current challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions, and new sustainability demands have further intensified the need for adaptation.<\/p>\n

Celebrations for the 50th anniversary<\/h3>\n

On July 2, 2026, ATM Global Logistics celebrated its anniversary with an event limited to 200 guests. Customers, partners, and employees were invited, including the families of employees, to share this special moment together. The celebration not only provided a festive setting but also an opportunity to honor long-standing companions who contributed to the establishment of the company. The numerous conversations and memories highlighted that transportation is primarily shaped by human relationships and trust.<\/p>\n

As part of the celebrations, the expansion of the company’s infrastructure was also presented. With three new buildings totaling 51,000 m\u00b3, the company’s capacity is significantly increased. This expansion allows for the storage of nearly 8,000 pallets, provides a dedicated area for oversized goods, and features modern office and loading spaces. Additionally, a parking lot for visitors to customs authorities has been established, accommodating five semi-trailers and increasing the total number of parking spaces on the premises to 13.<\/p>\n
