Swisslog has repositioned its proven monorail system MonoRail under the new name FastMove. This renaming aims to highlight the enhanced customer benefits, focusing on performance, flexibility, and an improved lifespan of the system for pallet transport over long distances.<\/p>\n

Efficient Transport in Complex Warehouse Environments<\/h3>\n

FastMove is an electrified monorail system that efficiently transports palletized goods through complex warehouse environments. With over 40 years of experience in Swisslog technology, the solution enables companies to optimize material flow over long distances. High throughput is ensured while handling goods gently.<\/p>\n

The system offers transport speeds of up to 2 m\/s and can move more than 600 pallets per hour. This capability helps operators manage growing demands and handle peak volumes efficiently. Compared to conventional conveyor technology, FastMove offers cost advantages, particularly in applications with long transport distances or high throughput. The ability to transport large volumes over long distances with fewer system components reduces both installation and operating costs and improves space utilization in the warehouse.<\/p>\n

Modularity and Adaptability<\/h3>\n

The system design of FastMove places great emphasis on flexibility and scalability. Customers can adapt their intralogistics infrastructure to changing business requirements. The modular rail design supports complex layouts and can be adjusted with minimal effort. Throughput can be scaled by the number of vehicles deployed in the system, allowing for a phased investment approach that aligns with business growth and demand fluctuations.<\/p>\n

FastMove also offers advantages for existing facilities. The components are suitable for modernization and retrofit projects, enabling customers to enhance performance and extend the lifespan of their intralogistics infrastructure without needing to replace an entire system. Current upgrades involve control and software levels, while mechatronic adjustments can be made as needed. This protects existing investments and ensures that facilities remain up-to-date and compliant.<\/p>\n

Robustness and Reliability in Various Environments<\/h3>\n

The system is designed for reliable operation under different operating conditions. FastMove can operate in environments ranging from deep-freeze temperatures of -30 \u00b0C to ambient temperatures of 50 \u00b0C. It handles loads of up to 1,500 kg and up to 3,000 kg in double load configurations. These features make FastMove a versatile solution for the food and beverage industry, consumer goods sector, and retail, where performance and robustness are required.<\/p>\n

Integration into the existing warehouse IT infrastructure is achieved through Swisslog’s software platform SynQ. This seamless integration enables intelligent control of material flows and synchronization between automated and manual processes, supporting transparent, data-driven operations.<\/p>\n
