The packaging is made from &#8222;LYB Circulen Revive polymers,&#8220; which are produced entirely from recycled materials. According to a statement from LyondellBasell, these materials are determined through an &#8222;ISCC PLUS&#8220;-certified mass balance approach, enabling Mondelez to offer packaging with a recycling content of 75%.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative aims, according to the company, to convert hard-to-recycle mixed plastic waste into materials for food packaging. Yvonne van der Laan, Executive Vice President for Sustainable Solutions and Technology Business at LyondellBasell, emphasizes the importance of this collaboration: &#8222;Our partnership with Mondelez highlights our shared vision for the future and underscores our ability to provide innovative, high-quality circular solutions tailored to demanding specifications.&#8220;<\/p>\n<h3>Expansion of circular solutions<\/h3>\n<p>LyondellBasell plans to further expand its circular solutions. One element of this strategy is the planned supply of polymers for Marabou packaging through the &#8222;MoReTec -1 facility.&#8220; This, according to the company, is the first commercial-scale catalytic recycling plant currently being constructed in Wesseling, Germany. Upon its commissioning, &#8222;MoReTec -1&#8220; is expected to enhance access to circular raw materials within the LYB ecosystem.
