These measures are necessary to maintain the infrastructure for passenger and freight transport and to repair frost damage in the M\u00fchltal Tunnel.<\/p>\n<h3>Construction phases and impacts<\/h3>\n<p>The construction work is divided into two phases: Starting July 18, the route between Steinach in Tyrol and Brenner station will be closed. This is due to construction sites of the Italian railway, making entry into Brenner station impossible. During this phase, all local trains will only operate up to Gries am Brenner.
