The ThielemannGroup has significantly expanded its stake in the RECHT Logistik Group and plans a comprehensive restructuring of the company. With an investment of around 240 million euros, the freight forwarding and contract logistics sectors are to be future-proofed and further growth enabled. The focus is on expanding logistics locations, particularly in western Germany.<\/p>\n

Thielemann has increased its shares in RECHT Kontraktlogistik GmbH (RKL) from 62.5 percent to 100 percent. Christian Karl Flick retains a 17.5 percent stake in RECHT Logistik GmbH (RL), while Thielemann will hold 82.5 percent of the shares going forward. These changes in the shareholder structure are part of a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the market position of the RECHT Logistik Group.<\/p>\n

New Management and Strategic Direction<\/h3>\n

As part of the restructuring, the management team will also be restructured. Matthias Weiner, the CEO of RECHT Kontraktlogistik, will retire at the end of the year. Christian Karl Flick, COO of ThielemannGroup, will take over the operational and strategic leadership of both companies as CEO. Dr. Stefan Karenfort, CFO of ThielemannGroup, will additionally assume the CFO role for the RECHT Logistik Group. Volker Henssen will remain COO of RECHT Kontraktlogistik and will be responsible for the operational business.<\/p>\n

Matthias Weiner spoke positively about the changes: \u201cRECHT Kontraktlogistik has developed excellently over the past years. I am very pleased that we have a shareholder in Navid Thielemann who is willing to invest long-term in the company, the locations, and further growth.\u201d Thielemann emphasized the strong market position and development potential of the RECHT Logistik Group and announced plans to further develop the company strategically.<\/p>\n

Focus on Contract Logistics and Sustainable Solutions<\/h3>\n

Contract logistics is identified as a central growth driver, with the aim of achieving double-digit growth rates in the coming years. New customer projects and additional capacities at existing and new locations are intended to support this development. The corporate group currently operates twelve operational locations and is investing in the expansion of its logistics and real estate activities.<\/p>\n

A strategic focus is on North Rhine-Westphalia, where ThielemannGroup aims to further expand its presence. A new location in Wernberg-K\u00f6blitz, set to commence operations in September 2026, will particularly strengthen connections to southern Germany as well as Central and Eastern Europe. Additionally, a sustainable logistics campus is being developed in the Rheinhafen Krefeld, which will feature a trimodal connection.<\/p>\n

The RECHT Logistik Group also plans to make its transport solutions more sustainable. Christian Karl Flick stated that around 50 percent of the company\u2019s fleet is already operated with alternative fuels such as LNG or CNG. Furthermore, hydrogen and electric trucks are being tested in live operations to meet the growing demands for sustainable transport solutions.<\/p>\n

With around 500 employees, the RECHT Logistik Group offers comprehensive services in the areas of factory, distribution, transport, and contract logistics. The group’s revenue amounted to over 80 million euros in the fiscal year 2025.<\/p>\n
