Moller \u2013 Maersk has taken delivery of the container ship \u2018Tema M\u00e6rsk\u2019: the vessel was built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding in China and is fitted with a dual-fuel engine from the Swiss engine manufacturer WinGD.<\/p>\n<p>The engine in question is an \u2018X82DF-M\/E\u2019 model, which can run on methanol and is also designed for use with ethanol. The unit is part of WinGD\u2019s \u2018X-DF-M engine platform\u2019, which was developed for operation with different fuels.<\/p>\n<p>Maersk had ordered the engines in 2023 for a series of six container ships, each with a capacity of 9,000 TEU.
