Toll4Europe has successfully completed the certification by the Dutch toll authority RDW (Rijksdienst voor het Wegverkeer). Starting from July 1, 2026, the company will be able to process the billing of the Dutch truck toll as part of the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS). This certification expands Toll4Europe’s network to a total of 17 European countries.<\/p>\n
Dr. Felix Wex, CEO of Toll4Europe, emphasized the importance of the RDW certification for freight forwarders: \u201cWith the RDW certification for the new Dutch toll system, we ensure that freight forwarders can start seamlessly from July 1 \u2013 from the very first toll day, without delays and without compromises.\u201d This statement highlights the company’s commitment to enabling a smooth transition for freight forwarders.<\/p>\n
The certification also provides Toll4Europe’s distribution partners with planning security. They can inform their customers that the billing of the Dutch toll can be done through the existing EETS On-Board Unit (OBU), without the need for additional hardware or separate contracts.<\/p>\n
With the expansion of the EETS network to 17 countries and 18 toll domains, the effort for transport companies is reduced. Each new country added to the network closes a gap that was previously associated with additional effort and complexity. Toll4Europe is thus continuing its European growth strategy as planned.<\/p>\n
