The Geis Group achieved a revenue growth of 8.8 percent to 2.12 billion euros in the fiscal year 2025, setting a new record in the company’s history. Despite challenging market conditions, including a sluggish economy and high price pressure, the family-owned company was able to further expand its market position. This was supported by four acquisitions as well as progress in integration, internationalization, and digitalization.<\/p>\n

The managing partners Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis emphasize: „2025 was once again characterized by a sluggish economy, high price pressure, and overall challenging market conditions. We are therefore even more pleased that we have held our ground and further expanded our market position.“ A central focus was on closer international integration within the group and the integration of the acquired companies.<\/p>\n

Strategic Acquisitions and Personnel Growth<\/h3>\n

The Geis Group has strategically expanded its presence in key markets through the acquisition of the Gras Group, the G\u00f6ttingen locations of the Kr\u00fcger forwarding company, Agotrans, and the ZZ Agency Stoll in Tyrol. These acquisitions are intended to strengthen the company’s strategic position in the long term. By the end of 2025, the Geis Group employed around 10,000 people at over 200 locations in 14 European countries, representing an increase of approximately 650 employees compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n

In the Road Services segment, a revenue of 1.46 billion euros was achieved, corresponding to an increase of 13.6 percent. In Germany, growth due to acquisitions was 26 percent. While the markets for general cargo remained tense, the LTL (Less Than Truckload) and FTL (Full Truckload) sectors were able to maintain stability. A key focus was on the integration of the newly added locations, which is expected to be largely completed by the end of 2026. Additionally, the Geis Group is advancing automation in the LTL and FTL sectors through AI-supported processes.<\/p>\n

Stability in the Logistics Services Sector<\/h3>\n

The Logistics Services segment remained stable at the previous year’s level with a revenue of 406 million euros. Particularly positive developments were recorded in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Geis now operates more than 100 contract logistics locations and projects across Europe. The outlook for 2026 is optimistic, as important new customers have already been acquired in Germany and Austria. Furthermore, the company sees additional growth potential in Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n

In the Air + Sea Services segment, a revenue of 181 million euros was achieved, representing a decline of 2.3 percent compared to the previous year. The main reason for this decline is falling air and sea freight rates. However, the segment has been strategically restructured and consolidated under central management. Klaus Hrazdira, COO of Quehenberger Logistics, has been responsible for the European business since April 2025. Joining the international WACO network is expected to provide additional momentum.<\/p>\n

International Collaboration and Future Topics<\/h3>\n

Quehenberger Logistics, whose figures are included in the group values, recorded a revenue increase of 1.3 percent to 641 million euros in 2025. In particular, road traffic developed steadily. The international collaboration between Geis and Quehenberger has been intensified, especially in the areas of cross-selling and internationalization. The establishment of an international corporate account management at Geis is expected to provide additional impetus.<\/p>\n

In 2025, the Geis Group also placed a strong focus on IT and sustainability. Targeted investments in IT infrastructure have increased system security and stability. IT security remains a strategic priority to minimize risks early. The implementation of the climate strategy led to a significant reduction in CO\u2082 emissions, supported by the use of 8.1 million liters of HVO. Additionally, Geis invested in its own energy and e-mobility solutions, including large battery storage and photovoltaic areas.<\/p>\n

Outlook for 2026<\/h3>\n

For the year 2026, managing partners Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis plan to further translate the joint strategy into operational business and expand cross-selling. The organization is to be specifically developed to integrate the companies Geis and Quehenberger more closely on an international level. Focus areas include process optimizations as well as investments in digitalization and AI to create uniform and efficient structures.<\/p>\n
