Jungheinrich opened a new Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Milan on April 13, 2026, to expand its spare parts supply in Southern Europe. With this initiative, the company aims to enhance the efficiency of its after-sales logistics and reduce response times for customers. At the same time, ecological and economic potentials are to be better utilized.<\/p>\n

The RDC Milan is a central component of Jungheinrich’s international Customer Service Logistics Network in Europe. Under the leadership of Frank Knobloch, Director Logistics, the new center will take over the supply of spare parts for the Italian market. The geographical proximity to the market is expected to shorten delivery routes and improve the availability of spare parts in daily operations.<\/p>\n

Improved Order Times for Technicians<\/h3>\n

With the opening of the RDC Milan, customers benefit from improved cut-off times for orders. In the future, orders can be placed until the evening hours and will be considered for shipping on the same day. This enables faster delivery to service technicians and significantly increases responsiveness in daily operations. Kevin Strominski, Project Manager Logistics Network at Jungheinrich, emphasizes: \u201cWith the RDC Milan, we bring our spare parts logistics closer to the market and lay the foundation for improved service levels.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sustainability Aspects and Cost Efficiency<\/h3>\n

Another advantage of the new location is the reduction of CO\u2082 emissions. By shifting transport volumes to shorter distances, the RDC Milan contributes to achieving Jungheinrich’s sustainability goals. The optimized network structure significantly reduces transport-related emissions compared to the previous solution.<\/p>\n

In addition to environmental aspects, the RDC Milan also offers economic benefits. Regional distribution lowers transport, handling, and process costs while increasing the predictability and stability of the supply chain. Through more efficient structures and demand-oriented inventory positioning, long-term cost advantages are to be achieved without compromising quality or availability.<\/p>\n
