Koch International has expanded its fleet with three fully electric tractor units, continuing the development of electromobility in heavy-duty transport. This investment is part of a long-term initiative that the company initiated several years ago.<\/p>\n
The new vehicles are not the first electric trucks in operation at Koch International. For about two years, the company has been using electrically powered trucks for long-distance transport, which is considered challenging due to range, planning, and infrastructure. Additionally, several electric distribution vehicles are active in local transport.<\/p>\n
With the integration of the new tractor units, Koch International aims to further develop its existing concepts. The higher range of the new vehicles compared to previous models offers additional flexibility in daily operations. However, the actual range depends on various factors, including payload, weather conditions, and driving style.<\/p>\n
The use of the new vehicles is supported by a dedicated charging infrastructure at the site, enabling reliable integration into existing processes.<\/p>\n

The use of electrically powered trucks is firmly embedded in Koch International’s corporate strategy. The goal is to reduce emissions where technically feasible and economically sensible. The locally emission-free operation of the vehicles contributes to lowering CO\u2082 emissions and reducing noise pollution, especially on frequently traveled routes.<\/p>\n
