He succeeds Michael Behrendt, who is unable to continue in the position due to health reasons. However, Behrendt will remain a regular member of the Supervisory Board.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to elect Gernandt comes in a context where the merits of Michael Behrendt remain intact. The Supervisory Board has already indicated that Behrendt&#8217;s return to the chairmanship after his full recovery is explicitly desired. The timing and modalities of this return will be discussed in due course.<\/p>\n<p>With the assumption of the chairmanship, Gernandt has also handed over his mandate as Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee to Oscar Eduardo Hasb\u00fan Mart\u00ednez. Mart\u00ednez has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Hapag-Lloyd AG since 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Francisco P\u00e9rez Mackenna, who served as a representative of the shareholders of CSAV on the Supervisory Board, will resign at his own request on February 1, 2026.
