This step follows a survey conducted in spring 2025 among around 250 freight forwarders and logistics service providers based at the airport. The results show that the use of electric vehicles in the industry is gaining increasing importance.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, four charging points are available in CargoCity South near Gate 31, offering a charging capacity of up to 400 kilowatts. Michael Kuschel, Head of Energy Networks and Services at Fraport AG, emphasizes the close collaboration with the cargo community at the airport. \u201cJust two years ago, the consensus in the industry was: Electric drive will not prevail for us. But that was already different in spring 2025.
