Moller &#8211; Maersk (Maersk) announced that the company plans to return to the trans-Suez route for the MECL service. This decision follows the successful passages of the container ships &#8222;Maersk Sebarok&#8220; and <a href=\"https:\/\/loginfo24.com\/2026\/01\/13\/maersk-denver-passes-bab-el-mandeb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8222;Maersk Denver&#8220; through the Suez Canal<\/a>. The MECL service connects the Middle East and India with the East Coast of the United States and is exclusively operated by Maersk. The first voyage of the MECL service will take place on the west route through the Suez Canal (voyage 603W). The &#8222;Cornelia Maersk&#8220; departed from Jebel Ali on January 15, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Maersk emphasizes that the safety of the crew, assets, and customers&#8216; cargo is of &#8222;utmost priority.&#8220; The company will monitor the security situation in the Middle East region. Changes to the MECL service will depend on the stability in the Red Sea.
