With the introduction of new TransFER connections between Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and Romania, the company is responding to the increasing demand for intermodal transport solutions, as it reports. The new connections include the routes TransFER Duisburg\u2013Rotterdam and TransFER Salzburg\u2013Offenbach, which are intended to improve accessibility to central logistics locations.<\/p>\n<h3>Connections to Strengthen Network<\/h3>\n<p>The TransFER connection Duisburg\u2013Rotterdam will initially operate with three round trips per week. This route connects the logistics hub Rheinkamp near Duisburg with the port of Rotterdam. From Duisburg, further destinations in Western and Northern Europe as well as Central and Southeastern Europe can be reached by rail, the company reports.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, a nonstop connection between Salzburg and Offenbach will be established, operating twice a week. This connection provides a direct link between the railway hub Salzburg and the logistics location Offenbach in the Rhine-Main area. Through this, the company aims to offer a reliable transport solution, as it states.<\/p>\n<h3>Intermodal Traffic Adjusted<\/h3>\n<p>In the area of intermodal traffic, RCG has also made adjustments. The previous TransFER between Genk and Curtici is now offered as TransFER Li\u00e8ge\u2013Curtici and includes seven weekly round trips from Li\u00e8ge. The location in Li\u00e8ge provides access to the North Sea ports of Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Zeebrugge.
