The company, one of the leading independent marine terminal operators worldwide, announced this on January 6, 2025.<\/p>\n<h3>Leadership Changes at SSA Marine<\/h3>\n<p>Uffe Ostergaard, CEO of Carrix, the parent company of SSA Marine, stated that these promotions reflect the leadership strength within the company and bring the strategic priorities of customers and the business into focus. &#8222;Meghan brings a unique perspective to our conventional team as an industry leader with extensive experience in sustainability, transportation, and infrastructure. Abigail is well-suited to succeed Meghan and advance the sustainability initiatives that are important for our business, our partners, and the communities,&#8220; said Ostergaard.<\/p>\n<p>In her new role, Weinman will lead SSA Marine&#8217;s conventional cargo operations in North America. These include a variety of breakbulk, bulk, perishable goods, and vehicles at 55 locations along the coasts and waterways of the U.S. and Canada. Weinman joined the company in 2024 as Vice President of Sustainability and led efforts to exceed SSA Marine&#8217;s multi-year goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 15%. She also set new ambitious decarbonization targets of 35% by 2030 and 50% by 2035.<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;SSA Marine leads the industry in conventional operations, and I am determined to continue building on our strong foundation,&#8220; said Weinman. &#8222;Together with our teams in North America, we will continue to ensure reliable and high-quality cargo handling services for our customers and partners.&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Abigail Struxness will succeed Weinman as Vice President of Sustainability. In her more than three years with SSA Marine&#8217;s sustainability team, Struxness has significantly contributed to the development of sustainable infrastructure, promoted the adoption of zero-emission equipment, secured funding, and advocated for policy measures for maritime sustainability at both national and state levels. Prior to joining SSA Marine, Struxness was responsible for managing policies and programs at the American Seed Trade Association and the Agriculture Transportation Coalition.<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;It is an honor to lead SSA Marine&#8217;s sustainability team. I look forward to building on our recent momentum by integrating sustainability into our operations while improving efficiency and creating long-term value for our employees, partners, and
