Webfleet, the fleet management solution from Bridgestone, announces a new partnership with RIO, a sister company of MAN. As part of the partnership, trucks and buses will be integrated into Webfleet’s OEM.connect program for the first time, expanding its functions to heavy-duty vehicles and further enhancing the offering of seamless, hardware-free fleet connectivity.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Leipzig) Through the partnership, MAN vehicles equipped with factory-installed telematics can now be directly connected to the Webfleet platform via the RIO platform. Without additional hardware, installation, or downtime, fleet operators gain immediate access to real-time vehicle data to improve the performance of their truck and bus fleets.<\/p>\n

“This is an important milestone for Webfleet’s OEM.connect strategy,” said Jan-Maarten de Vries, President of Fleet Management Solutions at Bridgestone. “By integrating RIO, we extend the benefits of our platform to heavy-duty vehicles and provide seamless, hardware-free connectivity that accelerates the digital transformation in the commercial transport sector.<\/p>\n

With this new extension, operators can access a whole range of features, including real-time tracking, ignition status monitoring, mileage, fuel level and consumption, as well as speed information to drive safer and more efficiently. These features are directly fed into the Webfleet platform, enabling smarter route management, better driver training, and reduced fuel consumption \u2013 all without retrofitting or downtime.<\/p>\n

Further Expanding the OEM.connect System<\/h5>\n

This integration once again highlights Webfleet’s goal of further expanding its OEM.connect ecosystem, which now includes more than 20 leading vehicle brands. By closely collaborating with manufacturers, Webfleet helps its customers communicate faster, reduce operating costs, and enable comprehensive data analysis for fleets with various brands.<\/p>\n

“The collaboration between Webfleet and RIO reflects our forward-looking commitment to connected mobility,” added de Vries. “Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) will play an important role in fleet telematics in the future. As a partner of the Mobility Data Space \u2013 a European data marketplace that enables secure, sovereign information exchange in the mobility sector \u2013 Webfleet supports efforts to standardize data standards among OEMs. This collaborative solution approach allows fleet operators to access uniform, high-quality vehicle data from various manufacturers and accelerates the digital transformation of freight transport.<\/p>\n

Easy Online Activation<\/h5>\n

Starting September 2025, European fleets can easily activate their MAN vehicles online. Thanks to a straightforward OEM.connect process, operators only need to add their MAN fleet connected to RIO to Webfleet, with no additional steps required.<\/p>\n
