(Wien) At the same time, the processes for postal customs clearance have been changed, and there is currently insufficient information about the customs clearance procedures that will be necessary in the future. This tightening poses significant challenges for all postal companies worldwide when shipping goods to the USA.<\/p>\n
Exempt from this regulation are gift shipments from private individuals valued under 100 US dollars, which are also marked as gifts; the Austrian Post will continue to accept these shipments for dispatch to the USA until further notice. Document shipments are not affected by these regulations and can be sent to the USA as usual via the Austrian Post.<\/p>\n
As the only current option, customers can still send other goods shipments to the USA using the product “Post Express International,” as these shipments are subject to a different type of clearance.<\/p>\n
