After nine years at the helm of the company, Chairwoman Angela Titzrath will leave Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) by December 31, 2025, at the latest, and will be available for the transition process until then. This has been mutually agreed upon by the Supervisory Board and the Chairwoman. <\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Hamburg) The change in leadership marks the conclusion of a strategic phase in which Angela Titzrath has significantly contributed to the successful orientation of the company. The search for a successor for the Chairperson position has already begun.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. R\u00fcdiger Grube, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HHLA: “Angela Titzrath has decisively advanced the development of the company into a European network logistics provider with strategic foresight and personal commitment, successfully leading HHLA even through challenging phases such as the Corona pandemic and the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. She accompanied the recent changes in the shareholder structure with great responsibility. With a particular focus on international networking, digitalization, and sustainability, she has set central impulses \u2013 both for the competitiveness of the Port of Hamburg and for the entire corporate group. On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to sincerely thank Angela Titzrath for her outstanding work and wish her all the best professionally and personally.”<\/p>\n

Modernization of the Terminals <\/strong><\/h5>\n

Angela Titzrath, Chairwoman of HHLA: “I look back on nine very dynamic, but also incredibly exciting years at the top of HHLA. Logistics connects markets, people, and perspectives. My goal was to strategically further develop HHLA as a key player in a volatile and geopolitically sensitive environment and to strengthen the value of the company. With the modernization of the Hamburg terminals, the expansion of the intermodal business, and strategic locations such as in Tallinn and Trieste, we have decisively positioned HHLA in the competition – in the service of our customers and in the interest of an efficient supply chain for companies and consumers across Europe.”<\/p>\n

Based on the corporate future strategy of Angela Titzrath, HHLA has invested more than half a billion euros in the modernization of the container terminals in the Port of Hamburg over the past five years. With the expansion of the intermodal business, the complete acquisition of the rail subsidiary METRANS, and the expansion of the hinterland network from 10 to 21 terminals, this area has developed into a cornerstone of the company.<\/p>\n

Targeted Development for Challenges<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The acquisition of the seaport terminals in Tallinn (Estonia) and Trieste (Italy) strengthened HHLA’s presence along key trade and transport corridors. The establishment of the central innovation unit HHLA Next has provided impulses for the company’s innovative strength and future viability. In addition, the leadership structure and corporate culture have been specifically developed to address the current challenges of the logistics industry.<\/p>\n
