As of May 1, Dietmar Lonke has taken over the management of the intermodal terminal Baltic Rail Gate (BRG) in L\u00fcbeck. He succeeds Antje Falk, who will retire this summer after many years of successful service.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(L\u00fcbeck) Antje Falk, a native of L\u00fcbeck, has shaped BRG for many years. Under her leadership, the company has developed into a powerful hub for combined transport since 2000 and has significantly contributed to the successful connection of the region to the European rail network. Most recently, she oversaw the expansion of the terminal, which now offers six tracks, each 740 meters long. A third crane is expected to go into operation in the fall, which is already prepared for remote operation.<\/p>\n

Dietmar Lonke brings extensive experience in intermodal transport and the logistics industry. After positions at Rhenus, Lehnkering, and VTG Rail Logistics, he worked for many years in a managerial role at the Italian family-owned company Ambrogio. As the sole managing director, he strategically developed the German company, including establishing a train connection between Neuss and Verona. During this time, he also influenced the intermodal company Trimodal Neuss as a shareholder representative. Most recently, he developed intermodal solutions at the Braker forwarding company L.I.T. Lonke shares the management with Kristian K\u00f6lsche, who has been appointed managing director by the Frankfurt Kombiverkehr KG and has been jointly responsible for the L\u00fcbeck terminal since 2009.<\/p>\n

Company Successfully Developed<\/h5>\n

“Kombiverkehr and the L\u00fcbeck Port Company thank Antje Falk for her many years of commitment and the excellent work she has done at Baltic Rail Gate,” says LHG Managing Director Sebastian J\u00fcrgens, also on behalf of the Frankfurt intermodal operator. “She has led and successfully developed the company since its founding. With Dietmar Lonke, we gain an experienced logistics expert who will further advance Baltic Rail Gate with his experience and innovative strength.”<\/p>\n
