Additionally, all warehouse processes for the refrigerated warehouse in Steinau an der Stra\u00dfe, set to commence operations in 2026, have been thoroughly conceptualized.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Griesheim\/Steinau an der Stra\u00dfe) Starting next year, well-known brands such as Pr\u00e9sident, Leerdammer, Salakis, and Galbani in the cheese sector, as well as the milk brands MinusL, Frankenland, and Th\u00fcringer Land will be stored and distributed to retail in Steinau an der Stra\u00dfe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Currently, ID Logistics and Lactalis are examining automation options in the logistics center and the associated deployment of innovative technologies,&#8221; reports Robin Otto, CEO of ID Logistics Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, a land purchase agreement for 68,400 m\u00b2 has been signed with Scannell Properties. The real estate developer will collaborate with the ID Logistics Group to construct a 36,700 m\u00b2 build-to-suit logistics building (33,000 m\u00b2 logistics space, along with 2,200 m\u00b2 of office space and 1,500 m\u00b2 of mezzanine space) on the site at Burgelsfeld Street. For this logistics property, ID Logistics and Lactalis have jointly signed a long-term lease agreement with a duration of 20 years.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Three Units, Two of Which Are Designed for Refrigerated Logistics<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The project is divided into three units, two of which are designed for refrigerated logistics and maintained at a constant temperature between 2 and 5\u00b0C. The sustainable property will also be equipped with a heat pump, electric charging stations for cars, LED lighting, and a 3 MWp photovoltaic system.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We would like to thank ID Logistics, Lactalis, and also Mayor Zimmermann and the city of Steinau for the excellent collaboration on this project. We are now looking forward to starting the work \u2013 and to building a highly specialized, sustainable facility that will enable Lactalis to optimize distribution processes throughout Germany,&#8221; explains Jan Imfeld, Country Head, Germany, Scannell Properties.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The land agreement with Scannell and the establishment of Lactalis and ID Logistics represents one of the largest projects in recent years for the city of Steinau an der Stra\u00dfe. Following the conceptualization of logistics processes for Lactalis&#8217;s launch in 2026 in initially two new construction phases, there is an option for another company to utilize a hall section of 10,000 m\u00b2. This option may be of interest to companies from sectors such as food, e-commerce, consumer goods\/FMCG, retail, or fashion, as well as renewable energies.
