Sustainability is a central challenge for the construction industry, and recycling building materials can save valuable resources. proRC GmbH from Papenburg addresses this with its product portfolio, producing high-quality substitute building materials from so-called secondary raw materials for road and civil engineering companies.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Papenburg) The young company is now investing around \u20ac5 million in a new processing and transshipment facility on 4.3 hectares of land at the Papenburg port, enabling it to handle logistics through environmentally friendly shipping in the future.<\/p>\n

With the “Material Flow Center Papenburg,” the proRC GmbH, founded in 2023, offers a central hub for the disposal and processing of various mineral construction materials directly at the port. The recognized waste management company has all the necessary permits to recycle construction waste in a qualified work process and to produce certified and quality-monitored substitute building materials from it. Suppliers of secondary raw materials, such as construction debris or road rubble, include both commercial and private partners who can deliver large as well as smaller quantities of materials via road, rail, and waterways. In addition to the self-produced mineral substitute building materials, proRC GmbH also supplies its customers with primary raw materials such as natural stone gravel, chippings, gravel, and sands. The provision of aggregates for the concrete and asphalt industry is also part of the business orientation.<\/p>\n

The decision to establish itself on a property at the Papenburg seaport was clear for proRC’s managing directors Dr. Maximilian Ueberschaar and Torsten Brinker. “To increase the share of sustainable construction and aggregate materials, a marketable logistics system must be established. Our location in Papenburg offers good infrastructure, as it is connected not only by road but also by rail and especially by the port. This way, we can efficiently and environmentally friendly accept and dispatch primary and secondary raw materials,” says Dr. Ueberschaar.<\/p>\n

The city and economic development are pleased<\/h5>\n

The city of Papenburg and the economic development agency are also pleased with proRC GmbH’s commitment to the location. In addition to new jobs, important transshipment potentials for the seaport are also emerging. “With the expansion of the North Port in Papenburg, companies have the opportunity to settle in a modern industrial location with ideal transport connections. Innovative transport routes are expected to have positive effects on the environment and the economy. We are therefore very pleased that a forward-looking company like proRC GmbH is based in Papenburg,” explains Marco Abheiden, head of economic development.<\/p>\n
