The customized solution starts at the goods receiving area, where pallets are received and transported to a three-aisle small parts warehouse with high storage density. The latter serves as the backbone of order picking, with Mustang E+ storage and retrieval machines handling the storage and retrieval. Orders are assembled at ergonomic workstations. TGW Logistics’ Warehouse Control System (WCS) orchestrates all processes and enables Genebre to automate more than 50% of its order processing.<\/p>\n
Portal robots for pallet assembly A key component is the portal robot from TGW Logistics, which takes care of assembling customer orders. The future-proof system handles five different box sizes with a maximum weight of 25 kilograms and performs up to 170 cycles per hour. The robot can prepare 29 Euro pallets simultaneously and also automatically provides empty pallets to ensure seamless order picking.<\/p>\n
