Volvo Trucks wins the Green Truck Test for the third consecutive time. The test takes place once a year and is a comprehensive and independent press comparison test to determine the most fuel-efficient long-distance truck. The test is organized by the German trade magazines Trucker and VerkehrsRundschau.<\/h5>\n

(Ismaning) “I am very proud that an external test has confirmed that our Volvo FH Aero truly offers outstanding fuel efficiency and saves our customers CO\u2082 and operating costs every day,” says Jan Hjelmgren, Head of Product Management at Volvo Trucks. “We will continue to be innovative and introduce improvements in fuel efficiency that benefit both the climate and the productivity of transport companies. Fuel consumption makes up a large part of our customers’ operating costs, so we know that our efforts make a difference.”<\/p>\n

Achieving the Hat Trick<\/h5>\n

Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, said: “With the win at the Green Trucks, Volvo Trucks has achieved a hat trick! First, we were the only brand to receive five stars in the first Euro NCAP safety test for trucks, then we became the market leader for heavy trucks in Europe in 2024, and now the Volvo FH Aero is the most fuel-efficient truck in an independent test – I am very proud of all these successes!”
The Volvo FH Aero was introduced in early 2024 and features a new aerodynamic cabin design that saves up to 5% in fuel consumption and carbon emissions compared to the regular Volvo FH. The tested model is powered by the reliable and efficient D13 diesel engine with I-Save, a package of fuel-saving drivetrain and software features.
The new Volvo FH Aero model range is available in four versions: FH Aero, FH Aero Electric, FH Aero gas-powered, and FH16 Aero. The diesel and gas-powered versions of the Volvo FH and Volvo FH Aero can operate on renewable fuels such as biogas, biodiesel, and HVO, significantly reducing CO\u2082 emissions.<\/p>\n
