(Berlin\/Oschersleben) The company will occupy 15,000 m\u00b2 of logistics and service space with approximately 320 m\u00b2 of office and social space and will conduct the global spare parts warehouse business for a well-known, internationally operating commercial vehicle manufacturer from this location. Around 40 employees will work for WP in Oschersleben to handle the repackaging of spare parts. After the goods arrive, some spare parts will be repackaged into wooden crates, which will be manufactured on-site specifically for this purpose. Due to existing space reserves, there is the possibility for a structural expansion of the site by an additional 4,000 m\u00b2 to 5,000 m\u00b2 of usable space for WP’s expansion and the enhancement of its services.<\/p>\n
“By occupying the new spaces at the Oschersleben site, we can consistently expand our spare parts warehouse business at a location with an attractive position and connection, and we even have the option for further growth. With CTP, we have found an experienced partner who breathes new life into the spaces while meeting our specific requirements,” comments Carsten Schmidt, Managing Director of WP Logistik GmbH.<\/p>\n
CTP acquired the existing property from a logistics service provider and will transform the property into a modern and future-oriented logistics and service location as part of the leasing to the new user. The high demands of the tenant, including those related to preventive fire protection and sustainable energy generation options, will be taken into account. The installation of a PV system (photovoltaics) is currently under review, and the building is also set to receive modern insulation in accordance with the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV). The implementation of e-charging stations is also planned, as the new user will transport spare parts with sustainable electric trucks. WP also intends to integrate a workshop for disabled individuals for wooden crate construction at the site, thereby addressing the social sustainability aspect. Other modernization measures for the site include the retrofitting of a sprinkler system with an external water tank.<\/p>\n

Occupancy is planned for January 1, 2025, with the go-live of operations expected in the third quarter of 2025.
