Halfway between Magdeburg and Leipzig, a total of four modern and sustainable logistics properties are being developed in the Salzlandkreis for companies in the automotive, storage, e-commerce, and retail sectors. The groundbreaking ceremony for the southern part of the Panattoni Park Halle (Saale) North was celebrated with a symbolic first spade in the presence of political dignitaries.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Hamburg\/Halle) On the over 132,000 m\u00b2 large site of the first construction phase, two halls with a usable area of approximately 30,000 m\u00b2 each are being built in close proximity to the A14. In addition to a mezzanine area of over 1,700 m\u00b2 each, future tenants will have around 1,500 m\u00b2 of office space available. Both halls can be divided into smaller sections starting from approximately 9,600 m\u00b2. The completion of Hall 1 is planned for January 2025. Hall 2 is expected to be handed over turnkey in March 2025. There is still room for flexibility in the detailed planning of the halls. Interested companies have the opportunity to incorporate their specific requirements into the implementation.<\/p>\n

The two halls on the site south of the L144 are part of one of the largest development projects in Saxony-Anhalt. On a second, even larger site north of the L144, the realization of two additional halls with approximately 89,500 m\u00b2 of hall space and a total office and mezzanine area of around 12,250 m\u00b2 is planned. Notably, there is the possibility of a contiguous hall area of approximately 80,000 m\u00b2. This means that companies will soon have a total of around 168,000 m\u00b2 of new property space available. “The Panattoni Park Halle (Saale) North offers great potential for profitable business growth,” says Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni Germany and Austria. “We are pleased to make an important contribution to the regional and supra-regional economy with this significant project and to provide future tenants with space tailored to their specific needs.”<\/p>\n

Certification According to DGNB Gold Standard<\/h5>\n

The project developer plans to obtain certification according to the DGNB Gold Standard. Special attention will be paid to the generation and efficient use of renewable energies. A photovoltaic system and a smart metering system are planned. The use of heat pump technology ensures fossil-free heating, and rainwater utilization reduces water consumption. Additionally, larch windows and deciduous trees will be planted as compensation areas.<\/p>\n

“We are particularly pleased that Panattoni has recognized the strategically and logistically excellent location of our economic site here in K\u00f6nnern,” says Martin Zbyszewski, Mayor of the City of K\u00f6nnern. “Through the extensive sustainable measures with which Panattoni is constructing this state-of-the-art logistics park, the company enriches our entire region. Our hope, of course, lies in the long-term positive development of our many small local businesses, which should also benefit from this settlement.”<\/p>\n

Great Gain for the Regional Economy<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The district administrator of the Salzlandkreis, Markus Bauer, emphasizes: “The new, large-scale logistics properties represent a significant gain for the regional economy. I am very pleased and grateful for this. Our region between Magdeburg and Halle is interesting, even for companies as far as Leipzig, and is increasingly developing into a residential location with good mobility. The project in K\u00f6nnern not only brings economic benefits to the city, but it is also important for the economic location of Salzlandkreis, with many synergies that we can work on based on our future strategy Salzlandkreis 2030. After all, every economic investment also has an impact on our residential and educational location.” BNP Paribas Germany has been commissioned with the marketing of the areas.<\/p>\n
