On Wednesday, June 7, 2023 (08:30 – 17:30), the VNL Logistics Forum 2023 will take place at the Swiss Transport Museum in Lucerne. The organizing association Netzwerk Logistik (VNL) Switzerland has put together an interesting program. Keynote speakers include Alvaro Amo – Vice President Global Logistics, HEXAGON – Dr. Johannes Heeb – Senior Partner, seecon – Vinko Castrogiovanni – Managing Director Southern Europe & Alps, Fiege Logistik.<\/h5>\n

(Zurich\/Lucerne) The “turning point” seemingly opened a glimpse into the Pandora’s box of supply chains for politics and business. The impact on the political-ethical values in Germany has rarely been so dramatically highlighted as with the Greens’ kneeling in Qatar, before the energy and armaments industry, before the political power of Putin. Realpolitik once again takes precedence over values politics. Decisions are made without their effects in the global and complex value creation systems being sufficiently illuminated or understood.<\/p>\n

Transparency of Supply Chain Dependencies<\/h5>\n

The lockdown during the Covid crisis has made the dependencies of critical supply goods in global, multi-tiered value chains transparent. At the same time, it has also highlighted the impact on the consumption of fossil energy sources and environmental pollution.<\/p>\n

The specter of energy shortages, which has instilled fear and terror in society in Europe, has also produced winners and triggered investments. Investments in the future extraction of fossil or nuclear energy sources worldwide exceed investments in the capacities of sustainable energies.<\/p>\n

Maintaining Economic Viability<\/h5>\n

The predicted demographic change is here. Coupled with a new work ethic, it tends to lead to significantly fewer available workers in the national economic system. It is no longer just about economic growth, but already about maintaining economic viability.<\/p>\n

In the search for solutions, it is not only automation that is required, but the design of value creation networks must be questioned and redesigned.<\/p>\n
