The Swiss Customs Museum in Lugano and the Liechtenstein National Museum in Vaduz are honoring this milestone in the political and economic relations between the two neighboring countries with a joint special exhibition &#8220;100 Years of the Customs Agreement Switzerland\u2013Liechtenstein.&#8221;<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Bern\/Vaduz\/Gandria) The exhibition was opened in the presence of the head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs EDA, Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, and the Foreign Minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Dominique Hasler. The opening of the exhibition took place on March 31, 2023, at the Swiss Customs Museum in Cantine di Gandria near Lugano. Various guests and representatives of the bilateral relations from Switzerland and Liechtenstein were invited, including Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis and the Foreign Minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Dominique Hasler.<\/p>\n<h5>Bilateral Exchange of Foreign Ministers<\/h5>\n<p>Before the official opening of the exhibition, Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis and his Liechtenstein counterpart Dominique Hasler met in Lugano for a bilateral exchange. The discussions focused on the close and friendly relations between the two countries. &#8220;The 100th anniversary of the customs agreement is an important milestone in the bilateral relations of our two countries,&#8221; emphasized Federal Councillor Cassis. Other topics of the meeting included relations with Europe, the war in Ukraine, and Switzerland&#8217;s seat on the UN Security Council. \u00a0<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<h5>Exhibition runs until October 20, 2024<\/h5>\n<p>The special exhibition at the Swiss Customs Museum in Cantine di Gandria runs from April 2, 2023, to October 20, 2024 (the museum is closed due to weather conditions from November to March), every Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00.
