Implementing an intelligent transport management software requires a forward-looking process analysis and strategy. In a new partnership, Euro-Log AG links its platform-based digital transport management solution with Deloitte’s supply chain expertise. The combination of services in this area offers a powerful package to enhance the agility and resilience of supply chains.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Hallbergmoos\/Munich) Fragile supply chains, lack of transparency, and very sluggish management of global transport are increasingly putting pressure on many companies. They are more than ever forced to manage their global supply chains in real-time through a transport management platform. In a strong partnership, the IT service provider Euro-Log AG with its logistics platform and Deloitte with its extensive supply chain expertise now offer even more effective solutions for global transport management.<\/p>\n

In the first step, Euro-Log AG’s transport management system will be used in Deloitte’s Supply Chain Control Tower (SCCT), an integrated data cockpit with access to nearly all levels of the supply chain. In the event of disruptions in the supply chain, the transport management system triggers an alert when a threshold is exceeded. With support from rule-based mechanisms, alternative transport routes, other carriers, or new transport service providers will be suggested. Euro-Log also enhances the control tower with global tracking solutions that report delays in customs clearance at an early stage.<\/p>\n

Numerous Euro-Log customers, as well as users of the Supply Chain Control Tower, such as those in the automotive industry, benefit from this information and control advantage in the supply chain. This is an industry where Euro-Log is at home with numerous award-winning supply chain solutions.<\/p>\n

For Euro-Log board member J\u00f6rg F\u00fcrbacher, this partnership represents a unique opportunity for internationally operating companies in a time of acute crises: “This combination of competencies from both companies enables customers to quickly analyze and uncover process improvements as well as to manage and secure supply chains in the short term,” says F\u00fcrbacher. He also has the second step of the partnership in mind, the implementation of both services in globally operating companies. He emphasizes the quick and economical realization of Euro-Log’s modular transport management. “Often, only a few modules are sufficient in the first step, without enormous investments, to stabilize global supply chains.”<\/p>\n

Deloitte also sees compelling potential in the complementing of services. “The partnership with Euro-Log is an extremely valuable enhancement for us, as demonstrated by joint projects with various clients,” says Tobias Exler, Deloitte partner in the area of Supply Chain & Network Operations. “We are pleased that with this step we can further expand our toolbox in this area \u2013 the Connected Supply Chain Solution, our Supply Chain Center of Excellence, and the Supply Chain Control Tower,” adds Stefan Klang, Deloitte director in the area of Supply Chain & Network Operations.<\/p>\n

Euro-Log and Deloitte have already proven the effectiveness of this partnership in a joint project in the Connected Supply Chain in the automotive sector. In this successful project, it became clear that the logical complement of process consulting and support is the rapid realization of a digital and intelligent transport control. This well-coordinated combination enables many companies to achieve resilient supply chains in the short term.<\/p>\n
