This includes the management and employees of the inland shipping company, as well as freight contracts and customer contacts.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Duisburg\/Rotterdam) &#8220;With Honkoop Barging, Contargo can further expand its activities in the Benelux countries,&#8221; says Marcel Hulsker, Co-Managing Director of Contargo GmbH &amp; Co. KG. &#8220;This acquisition offers us an interesting opportunity to expand our service portfolio, particularly in the Rotterdam, Antwerp, Zeeland province, and Ghent areas.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Honkoop Barging is a renowned provider of inland shipping services in the ARA port area. The services include traffic within the Port of Rotterdam, traffic between the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp, as well as numerous daily container line services between the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp on one side and various regions such as Ghent, Vlissingen, and Terneuzen on the other side.<\/p>\n<h5>Integration into Contargo Transbox<\/h5>\n<p>Following the acquisition by Contargo, the activities of Honkoop Barging will be integrated into the already existing inland shipping activities in the Benelux countries under the brand name Contargo Transbox.<\/p>\n<p>The current Managing Director of Honkoop Barging, Henri Honkoop, will become the Managing Director of Contargo Transbox in Belgium and, alongside Carsten Borchers, will be responsible for Contargo Transbox in the Netherlands within Contargo.<\/p>\n<p>Photo: \u00a9 Contargo \/ <em><strong>Image caption (l.r.):<\/strong> Cok Vinke, Henri Honkoop, Marcel Hulsker, Carsten Borchers <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of January 1, 2023, Contargo has taken over the activities of the Dutch company Honkoop Barging.
