(Horstmar\/Toddin) The actual assembly of the vehicle and the DEKRA approval of the complete vehicle took place at the GRW plant in Toddin, where the project manufacturing of Schmitz Cargobull still occurs. This makes Schmitz Cargobull the first certified body partner of Hyundai in Germany.<\/p>\n
Together with Dirk Nuxoll, Managing Director of GRW, and Sabine Essmann, International Key Account Manager Logistics\/Food Business at Schmitz Cargobull, Bruno Altensch\u00f6pfer, fleet manager at hylane, received the vehicle for its first use on the road. “I am thrilled at how quickly this concept could be implemented. This vehicle is another building block for sustainable transport solutions with hydrogen in Germany,” said Bruno Altensch\u00f6pfer.<\/p>\n
“Solutions for sustainable freight transport are particularly important to Schmitz Cargobull. We are pleased to realize this great pilot project in such a short time and will complete a total of 17 vehicles in the coming weeks. The box bodies from Schmitz Cargobull are optimally equipped to accommodate the hydrogen tanks at the front wall,” said Sabine Essmann.<\/p>\n
“As the first hydrogen series truck approved in Germany, we were allowed to present the vehicle together with Schmitz Cargobull at the BMDV specialist conference ‘Climate-Friendly Commercial Vehicles’ in Berlin. There, we were also able to present our concept for the practical use of the trucks in detail,” said Sara Schiffer, Managing Director of HyLane GmbH. “The vehicles of the type ‘XCIENT Fuel Cell’ will be prepared for their use on the road according to customer requirements. Refrigerated and dry freight boxes will be mounted on the truck chassis to transport goods properly. Some of the vehicles will also receive a refrigerated trailer.” <\/p>\n
