Since October, the route Kaldenkirchen \u2013 Rostock has been the first line operating exclusively in Germany in its portfolio. With a total of six round trips per week, CargoBeamer enables the transport of craneable and non-craneable semi-trailers as well as P400, refrigerated, silo, and container units by train.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Leipzig\/Kaldenkirchen\/Rostock) On average, the transit time between Kaldenkirchen and Rostock is about 18 hours. For each transported unit, 64% CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions are saved compared to road transport, while the remaining 36% are offset through CO<sub>2<\/sub> certificates, allowing CargoBeamer to operate the line completely carbon neutral. The traction partner is HSL Logistik GmbH.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Connecting Services at Both Terminals<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The line operates between the rail terminal in Kaldenkirchen and the Port of Rostock. From the latter, there are connecting services by ferry to various locations in Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, and Sweden, with semi-trailers also being transported without the accompaniment of a driver or tractor unit. To the south, CargoBeamer offers gateway connections from Kaldenkirchen to Perpignan in southern France and Domodossola in northern Italy.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Numerous Additional Lines Planned by the End of 2023<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Boris Timm, Chief Operating Officer of CargoBeamer, says: \u201cThe addition of Kaldenkirchen \u2013 Rostock is the first step in our plans to expand the CargoBeamer network with numerous new lines by the end of 2023. With the unaccompanied long-distance transport from the Baltic Sea through western Germany to Italy or the French-Spanish border, we are creating a new, attractive offer for our customers.
