Liefergr\u00fcn has more than tenfold its revenue since the beginning of the year and receives its next investment of 12 million euros. The financing round was primarily supported by the venture capital fund eCAPITAL and existing seed investors Speedinvest and Norrsken. Liefergr\u00fcn will use the funds to expand its customer portfolio and significantly enhance its capacities and technical value-added solutions.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(Berlin) Turbulent times prevail in the delivery industry: Fast delivery services are losing market share, valuation, employees, and the overall economic situation makes it difficult for startups to stay afloat. Despite this tense market situation, Liefergr\u00fcn, the leading provider of sustainable deliveries for e-commerce shipments, has rapidly increased its growth and secured a Series A investment of 12 million euros. This substantial amount will help Liefergr\u00fcn further digitize and scrutinize outdated industry processes. Specifically, the raised funds will be used to expand the platform and delivery capacities, improve the technical product, and strengthen the team and large customer sales.<\/p>\n

Led by the VC firm eCAPITAL, the new capital is provided by existing investors Speedinvest and Norrsken VC, as well as a large German family office.<\/p>\n

“We are thrilled to have completed the next financing round together with our existing investors and eCAPITAL as a new partner. Just a few months after the seed round, interest in the capital market was very high again. In recent months, we have been able to win new well-known large customers like Shop Apotheke and more than tenfold our revenue since the beginning of the year. I am grateful to welcome investors who share our values and help us take the next step. It underscores the importance of the topic of sustainable last-mile delivery and the trust in Liefergr\u00fcn’s vision,” explains Niklas Tauch, co-founder and managing director of Liefergr\u00fcn.<\/p>\n

Ambitions turned into actions<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The investment comes just six months after a successfully completed seed round of three million euros. As part of its expansion plans, Liefergr\u00fcn has thus increased its team to over 50 employees and strengthened its leadership team, including with Stephan B\u00f6hm (former Hermes manager) for the large customer business. In addition, the company has formed a new partnership with Mercedes Van Rental to expand its fleet in Berlin. The electric eVito vans help manage the growing business.<\/p>\n

Liefergr\u00fcn sets new standards for the industry<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Sustainable and efficient deliveries are now one of the most important decision criteria in the purchasing process. Only retailers and delivery services that keep this aspect on their radar can survive in the market. However, parcel delivery is only one part of the overall ordering experience. Therefore, the rapidly growing company is increasingly focusing on additional digital services, such as compensating for CO\u2082 emissions or refund solutions, to make the entire post-purchase experience more convenient. This marks the beginning of the development towards more value-added services and the opportunity to further differentiate from the major players.<\/p>\n
