In cooperation with the Rotary Club M\u00fchlacker-Enzkreis, Craiss Generation Logistik GmbH & Co. KG has carried out an aid delivery for war-affected individuals in Ukraine. A total of 70,000 euros have been raised by the Swabian logistics service provider along with other local companies and private individuals in response to a fundraising appeal from the association.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

(M\u00fchlacker) The donated funds were used to procure urgently needed medical supplies as well as everyday products. The aid supplies were collected, stored, and finally transported to Tomasz\u00f3w Mazowiecki at the Polish-Ukrainian border by the transport company itself. From there, the donations were delivered to Ukraine, specifically to Lviv, and partially distributed further to Kyiv, where they were handed over to hospitals and monasteries.<\/p>\n

“With the war, not only is Ukraine being attacked, but all of Europe along with its democratic values. Therefore, we want to support the country and its people \u2013 and we can do this best with truckloads of materials that are urgently needed there,” says Michael Craiss, Managing Director of Craiss Generation Logistik GmbH & Co. KG.<\/p>\n

Procurement of medical supplies<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through contact with a leading manufacturer of medical supplies, the Rotary Club M\u00fchlacker-Enzkreis was able to quickly, unbureaucratically, and at favorable purchasing conditions procure necessary resources for the war zones. “Thanks to the additional, dynamic willingness to donate from club members, it was possible to acquire further urgently needed products,” explains Craiss. Discounts on purchases or donations in kind were granted and provided unconventionally, allowing for the delivery of protective equipment, tools, as well as food and everyday goods.<\/p>\n

After the transshipment in M\u00fchlacker, Craiss transported the valuable goods to Tomasz\u00f3w Mazowiecki in Poland. From there, local carriers took them across the Ukrainian border to Lviv and further towards Kyiv, where primarily medical supplies, food, and everyday items were distributed to hospitals in the immediate vicinity of the capital. Another part of the donations went to a Franciscan monastery in Wroc\u0142aw, Poland, where they were repackaged and transported to monasteries in Poland and Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“I would like to sincerely thank the Rotary members for their astonishing speed in agreeing to finance the aid operation with monetary and material donations,” says Craiss. Furthermore, additional aid projects are already in planning.<\/p>\n
